Patrick R. Henry (born
November 7 , ??? in Warner Robins, Georgia), is an assistant women's basketball coach for Texas State. Henry attendedNorthside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. While at Northside, he served as both a manager and a volunteer assistant coach. An unusual situation and with Henry often coaching players who where older than him, many believe Henry to be the youngest coach ever to win a GHSA sanction game, coaching Northside's 9th Grade Boy's basketball team to a 74-42 victory at the age of fourteen against the Perry High School 9th Grade Boys' Basketball team.After graduation, Henry enrolled at
Florida State University , inTallahassee ,Florida where he became a student manager under Marynell Meadors (current Head Coach and General Manager of theAtlanta WNBA franchise, theAtlanta Dream ). After his sophomore year, he transferred toOhio University inAthens ,Ohio , where he majored in communications and was a student manager under then legendary Ohio head coach Larry Hunter.After graduating in 1998, Henry became a associate coach at his alma mater, Northside High School. After one season, he left to become an assistant coach at
Florida Southern College inLakeland ,Florida . From Florida Southern, Henry moved to Frank Phillips College, then toGeorgia Southern , and serving a brief stint atEast Texas Baptist University .He later moved on to
