17 October 1958 ),Australia n politician, has been anAustralian Labor Party member of theAustralian House of Representatives since October 2004, representing thedivision of Parramatta ,New South Wales . She was born in Rockhampton,Queensland , and was educated at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (now a part ofGriffith University ) and at theUniversity of Sydney . She was a small-business owner and head of the Association of Australian Independent Record Labels (AIR) before entering Parliament.cite web
