George Lamb (presenter)

George Lamb (born 1979, England) is a British radio presenter, television presenter and producer.

Lamb, with Marc Hughes, hosts the BBC 6 Music mid-morning radio show. His 6 Music show mixes banter, interviews and listener-led discussions with an eclectic mix of music, much of which is 'Old Skool' dance, hip hop and northern soul. He also hosts E4's music show, Freshly Squeezed. Lamb, along with Zezi Ifore, replaced Dermot O'Leary as the host of Big Brother's Little Brother when it returned on June 6, 2008. He will also co-present new ITV2 show, "The Fashion Project", with models Abigail Clancy and Michelle de Swarte, which makes its debut in Autumn, 2008. In 2007, he replaced Alex Zane as the host of the second series of BBC reality show Celebrity Scissorhands. It's been confirmed that he will return in 2008 for a third series.

Controversy

Lamb also attracted controversy for appearing to endorse Conservative candidate Boris Johnson on air during the London mayoral election in 2008. In September 2008 Lamb interviewed Ray Davies of The Kinks and asked such questions as "What's your favourite vowel?". After Davies declined to continue the interview, Lamb said Davies "might die a slow, painful death". Ofcom are currently investigating complaints.
