Faverolles (chicken)

Faverolles (chicken)

The Faverolles is a French breed of chicken. Faverolles were originally bred in France as a utility fowl, but are now primarily raised for exhibition. The Faverolles is relatively large, has a beard, muffs, feathered feet, and five toes. The most common color is Salmon, which differs slightly between males and females. Other colors, including white, black, cuckoo, splash, and blue, also exist. Hens are good winter layers of medium-sized, light brown to pinkish eggs.
