Nascar Day

Nascar Day

Nascar Day is a one-day celebration of the NASCAR spirit and its fans. Held annually on the Friday prior to the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge in May, NASCAR Day has become one of the most important and fastest-growing traditions in the NASCAR Family. Since the first celebration in 2004, NASCAR Day has raised almost $5 million for charitable initiatives. By 2007, NASCAR Day had grown to include close to 3,000 companies across the country, raising $1.6 million for The NASCAR Foundation and its family of charities.

The NASCAR Foundation embodies the compassion of the NASCAR Family and NASCAR's commitment to serving communities. The Foundation supports a wide range of charitable initiatives that reflect the core values of the entire NASCAR Family. The NASCAR Foundation will use the strength of the sport and its people to make a difference in the lives of people who need it most.

NASCAR Day Telethon

The NASCAR Day telethon began in 2007 on NASCAR.com and Sirius satellite radio. In its debut year the telethon had over 20 NASCAR drivers, crew chiefs, and NASCAR personnel raising money for driver, crew chief and track charities. In 2007 the telethon raised over $1 million in 12 hours.
