Llanbedr inWales , as the word literally translates to 'church ofSt. Peter ' in English. There are two such dedicated churches in Llanbedr D.C. (as it is sometimes abbreviated to), the originalmedieval church of St. Peter which was abandoned in 1862 and still stands as a ruin near Llanbedr Hall, and the presentparish church of St. Peter alongside the A494, dedicated in 1863, part of theDeanery of Dyffryn Clwyd in theDiocese of St. Asaph .
