Loose Cannon is the upcoming double album from rapper Cashis on Shady Records [ [http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/7406579/a/The+County+Hound.htm. Cashis The County Hound CD] . CD Universe. Accessed August 11, 2007.] who debuted last year. The LP is rumored to be a double disc and may feature over 16 songs on each disc. The record label has not made public a release date for the album. The first disk known as "Disc 7" will be Cashis' side and will feature most of the singles, while the second disk, "Disk 4," will be Ramone's side and will be darker and have more up and coming producers.

Background

"Loose Cannon" was originally titled "The County Hound" with The County Hound EP being a sample similar to how The Slim Shady EP was to The Slim Shady LP. While in the studio Eminem compared Cashis to a loose cannon which gave way to title change. quote|It's somethin’ Em came up with when he said, “Man you crazy, you like a loose cannon.” “That’s what you should call your album.” I said cool, let’s roll with it, so the “County Hound” became the name of just the EP. The [EP] is different from the songs on the LP. None of the songs will appear on both. It’s gonna be like a full-length album first, so we wanted to change it from the start. In an interview with HHIH on July 11, he stated:

Music

Concept

Cashis chose to make the album a Double LP to showcase both sides of him, one being Ramone and the other being his alter ego Cashis. The Cashis disc will have all the songs hand picked by him and his label, while the Ramone disc will have a selection of songs the artist picked out. Accessed May 30, 2008.] that the first single will be released on July 25, 2008 and that the album has been pushed back to September 23, 2008; however, the album was not released on that date and its release date is unknown.

Production and guests

Production will come from Eminem, Sha Money XL, Jake One, DJ Toomp, Drumma Boy, Rikanatti, Jelly Roll, DJ Khalil, Emile, Alchemist, Tha Bizness and has stated that he is going to work on a track with Dr. Dre. Features will include Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, T.I., G-Unit, Kanye West and many more.
