Lawrence Webb

Lawrence Webb is an academic administrator and politician from Falls Church, Virginia. He was elected in 2008 to the Falls Church City Council, becoming the first openly gay, African-American elected official in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Webb works as an assistant dean of admissions at the University of Mary Washington. Former Governor Mark Warner appointed Webb to the board of the Department of Correctional Education in 2004, a position he still holds. A resident of Falls Church since 2004, Webb had served three years on the city's Recreation & Parks Advisory Board prior to his election to city council.
