[ [http://i-p-o.org/Lockerbie_Verdict-31Jan2001.htm Fhimah was found "not guilty"] ]The court established that the bomb which resulted in the destruction of
Pan Am Flight 103 overLockerbie ,Scotland onDecember 21 ,1988 was introduced as luggage on board flight KM180 at Luqa airport. Entries in Fhimah's personal diary indicated that he may have obtained luggage tags from the airport, which could have been used to ensure that the bomb was transferred onto the Pan Am flight. Evidence corroborating this theory was not presented, which led the judges to acquit him of all charges.
