The 1988-89 St. Louis Blues season saw the Blues finish in second place in the Norris Division with a record of 33 wins, 35 losses, and 12 ties for 78 points. They defeated the Minnesota North Stars in five games in the Division Semifinals before falling to the Chicago Blackhawks, also in five games, in the Division Finals.
