Demetrius Mazacoufa is an attorney in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. He has represented a variety of health organizations as general counsel and lobbyist before the Georgia General Assembly since 1978. These groups include the Georgia Nurses Association,[1] the Georgia Dietetic Association, the Georgia Speech-Hearing-Language Association, the Georgia AIDS Coalition, the Georgia chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association, and the Georgia Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Civic involvements include his role as president of the public broadcasting association of Atlanta's public radio (WABE FM 90.1) and public television (Channel 30) stations.[citation needed] He is the author of The Story of the Greeks in America, a study of Greek immigration through history and to this country.
