Offseason
The Toronto Raptors started thier offseason earlier than expected with a first round loss to Orlando in the playoffs. GM Bryan Colangelo watched his team during the season, realizing how bad they were at getting rebounds. So Bryan went out and made a block-buster trade known as, the "Jermaine O'Neal Trade". Colangelo sent T.J. Ford, Rasho Nesterovic, Maceo Baston, and the draft rights to Roy Hibbert to the Indiana Pacers . In return, the Raptors got Jermaine O'Neal, and the draft rights to Nathan Jawai. With O'Neal now in the fold, the Raptors now have a one-two punch with O'Neal and Bosh up front and addressed the rebounding issue. Also, with T.J. Ford gone, Jose Calderon now takes over as the starting point guard after being re-signed to a multi-year contract. The Raptors also went out and signed free agents Hassan Adams, Will Solomon and Jamal Sampson. The Raptors also went and signed Roko Ukic who was drafted in the 2005 NBA Draft. The Raptors also lost to free agency Carlos Delfino and Primož Brezec.
