skyscraper located inMakati City ,Philippines . The name "G.T." stands forGeorge Ty , the building's owner and chairman of theMetrobank Group. Standing at 217metre s (712.93 feet), it is currently the second-tallest building not only in Makati City, but in the Philippines as well. The building has 47 floors above ground, and 5 basement levels for parking.The tower is crowned with a 10-storey vertical fin. This fin marks its presence in the Makati City skyline and provides a visual signature at the towers crown. Although the G.T. International Tower opened in 2001, it was not formally inaugurated until 2004. The G.T. International Tower was designed by the renowned architectural firm
Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates , in cooperation with local firms GF & Partners Architects and Recio + Casas Architects. In 2002, the building was chosen as one of the best new skyscrapers of the year 2002 in the Emporis Skyscraper Award 2002.. Makati City 'sAyala Avenue and H.V. dela Costa Street, and is situated near the entrance of the Makati Central Business District from Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue. It is a walk away from most of Makati's other major office and residential buildings, including the current tallest building in the country, thePBCom Tower , and is easliy accessible by public transport alongAyala Avenue .References
