Thadomal Shahani Engineering College is an engineering college in
Bandra , a suburb ofMumbai ,India . It is commonly referred to as TSEC, pronounced "tee-sec."The college is an 'A' grade institution, constantly ranked among the best engineering colleges affiliated to the
Mumbai University . It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India.TSEC offers a four year bachelor of engineering courses in Computer, Chemical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology and Bio-medical streams. In addition, it also offers a two-year masters courses in Electronics and Computer engineering. Its active student community hosts branches of several professional societies including IEEE(USA), CSI, IETE etc.
Fifty percent of student spots are reserved for the minority Sindhi community, as the management is run by the
Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board .Fields

Cultural Festival
The annual intra collegiate event of TSEC is called Avalanche.Usually in the month of October.
The inter collegiate Cultural Festival of TSEC is known as Trifles. The mascot of the festival is an Unicorn.It is an annual Festival organized by the TSEC Students' Council. It is an inter-college festival. Usually organized in the month of March.
TRIFLESIs an inter-collegiate festival of the college. More than 20 colleges participate in the trifles. This includes various avenues like singing, dancing, elocution, fashion show and other such creative events. The highlight of the event is the “Musicals Night” where in a musical artiste/group/band is invited to perform live for the college students. Fashion shows and the group dance performances are well appreciated by the crowd. These performers are also well rewarded by the college.
AVALANCHEThis is the intra-collegiate festival of the college. It is conducted before “Trifles” and mostly in the beginning few months of college. This is done primarily to provide an opportunity for the freshers in college to participate and know the college and their seniors better. It also serves as a platform for the juniors to get involved in the management of clubs of the college and take up various leadership positions.

IEEE-TSEC is one of the biggest student bodies of IEEE in Mumbai. The IEEE technical team has won various competitions in Mumbai.It has an annual festival called ISAAC [http://ieee-tsec.org/site2007/ieeetsec/isaac.asp] .
IEEE also has four of its chapters active in TSEC namely Computer Society, ComSoc, EMBS and IES.
IE(I), one of the world's largest student bodies, is best represented in TSEC compared to any other Mumbai colleges.
NSS-TSEC is the non-technical society of TSEC and has been involved in many social activities. Major of these activities are Blood Donation Drive and Bandra Station Project. NSS-TSEC also conducts a 10 Day's Residential Camp in the outskirts of Mumbai with the basic aim of Overall development of the Society.
