Eran is a native of Israel. He moved to
Lexington, MA at the age of 12, from Israel. He earned aBachelor of Science andMaster of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science fromMIT in 1995, where he worked with renowned electronic music composerTod Machover at theMIT Media Laboratory . Eran studied clarinet at the
New England Conservatory of Music , withJonathan Cohler andWilliam Wrzecien . Eran has performed with Symphonies in the Greater Boston Area, including the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, theMIT Symphony Orchestra and the Newton Symphony Orchestra. While he attended MIT, he performed several solo recitals. He also performed theNielsen Clarinet Concerto with the MIT Symphony. Eran has played with the MIT Chamber Music Society for 7 years, and is one of the founding member of the Aurelius Ensemble. He is also credited as a long time participant in the Apple Hill Chamber Music festival.
