The oldest house in Stonington, Connecticut is the Robert Stanton House, now known as the Stanton-Davis Homestead Museum.
The property has been farmed continuously by the Stanton family for over 350 years.
The house is thought to have been built by the third generation of Stantons to live on this property, thomas and Thankful Denison Stanton, thomas was the son of Robert and Joanna Gardiner Stanton. It is believed to have been built in about 1670.
