The 67th Fighter Squadron (67 FS) is part of the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base, Japan. It operates the F-15 Eagle aircraft conducting air superiority missions.

Mission

History

THe 67th conducted replacement training in 1941 before going on to provide air defense of New Caledonia from, March–October 1942. It flew combat in South and Southwest Pacific from, 24 August 1942–July 1944 and in Southwest and Western Pacific from, c. 15 August 1944–8 August 1945. The squadron flew combat in Korea from, 2 August 195027 July 1953 and in Southeast Asia from, 18 February26 April 1965 and 16 August23 October 1965.

It has provided air defense in the Far East region, 1968.
