Hardstep

Hardstep is a subgenre of drum and bass which emerged in 1994. The composure of hardstep is similar to that of industrial techno but in a drum and bass context, characterized by heavy beats (snare drums are particularly emphisized) and bass lines which tend to dominate the entire space of a track alone.

Hardstep music is not to be confused with a dance also called hardstep.
