The Ravyns are an American rock group from Baltimore, best-known for 1982's "Raised on the Radio", a major hit and part of the soundtrack to "
Fast Times at Ridgemont High ". Following that single, the group released a self-titled album in 1984 with MCO, and then won the 1985 "Basement Tapes " competition on MTV with the music video for "Rhythm of the Heart".In 1996, the
Baltimore Ravens got their name, and The Ravyns released "I'm a Rav'n Maniac", the first time the original group had recorded as a unit since 1985.Reference
