The Ravyns

The Ravyns

The Ravyns are an American rock group from Baltimore, best-known for 1982's "Raised on the Radio", a major hit and part of the soundtrack to "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Following that single, the group released a self-titled album in 1984 with MCO, and then won the 1985 "Basement Tapes" competition on MTV with the music video for "Rhythm of the Heart".

In 1996, the Baltimore Ravens got their name, and The Ravyns released "I'm a Rav'n Maniac", the first time the original group had recorded as a unit since 1985.
