A Sojourn in the City of Amalgamation, in the Year of Our Lord, 19--

A Sojourn in the City of Amalgamation, in the Year of Our Lord, 19-- is a dystopian novel published in February 1835. The novel is listed as being written by Oliver Bolokitten actually a pseudonym of Jerome B. Holgate. The novel describes a city of the future, the Northern "City of Amalgamation", a future where intermarriage between blacks and white abolitionists is commonplace, despite the whites being physically repulsed by doing so. Being married to blacks is their way of bringing about racial harmony.

The novel was self-published and printed.
