Programming heard on WSPT includes a local morning show called "Portage County Live," Glenn Beck Program, Neal Boortz, Scott Krueger (another local host), Clark Howard, and The Ed Schultz Show. WSPT also carries audio simulcasts of two Fox News Channel shows: "Special Report with Brit Hume" and the first hour of "Fox and Friends"; WSPT is one of the only stations (perhaps "the" only station) to directly simulcast the cable television channel.

At night and during the weekend, the station plays Adult Standards fed via satellite from Dial Global (America's Best Music). The station was formerly an affiliate of ABC Radio's True Oldies Channel.

History

The station went on the air as WSPO on 1988-05-30. on 1996-07-06, the station changed its call sign to the current WSPT.
