Allen "Al" Tinney (May 28, 1921,
Ansonia, Connecticut – December 11, 2002,Buffalo, New York ) was an Americanjazz pianist.Tinney was a
child actor on the stage, and was a cast member in the original production ofGeorge Gershwin 's "Porgy and Bess " in 1935. He played in thehouse band atMonroe's from 1939 to 1943 withCharlie Parker ,Max Roach ,Little Benny Harris ,George Treadwell , andVictor Coulsen .
