Iain Overton

Iain Overton is a British documentary maker born on 3rd August, 1973. He has worked for the BBC and ITN and worked in over 50 countries around the world.

Educated at Downing College and Gonville & Caius, Cambridge, Iain Overton's film work has won him a BAFTA Scotland, a Prix Circom, a One World award, a Peabody Award, Best UK Legal Journalist Award: amongst others.

In 2002, he uncovered new historical evidence which identified Harry Band as a Canadian soldier who had been crucified in Belgium during the First World War.
