=Intel Science Talent Discovery Fair (ISTDF)=

The Intel Science Talent Discovery Fair (ISTDF) is held every year in India for the past 8 years.As quoted in the Intel's website, "In 2001, winners of ISTDF did India proud by winning at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in San Jose, California, USA."

There were over 9800 entries in the ISTDF 2001 from all over the country, out of which 200 were selected from different parts of India.

ISTDF 2001 - A successful year for Indian Education

2001 was a successful year for India. Out of the 4 selected for ISEF, two of them did well to qualify for scholarships and other awards. In the state levels too, ISTDF had a good response and many interesting projects were demonstrated.

National Levels

These and other winners from various fairs held in India in 2001 were selected to participate in the National Levels that was held in IIT Delhi and in Bombay (almost around the same time when The deadly Bhuj Earthquake occurred in Gujarat). Two individual projects and one team project was selected out of over 70 national level projects to represent India at San Jose for the prestigious ISEF 2001.
