Biography
Burroughs was raised in a deeply spiritual community neighboring the Benedictine monks of St. Meinrad Archabbey in Southern Indiana. His early years included extended times among a land of vast forest beauty and frequent isolation. This uncommon setting sent him on his own unique spiritual journey which continues to shape his writings today.
Now, only three years from Burroughs’ first coauthored book (featuring an endorsement from Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy), his writings include revising the bestselling Facts On series and Comparing Christianity series, through which more than 3.5 million people have been influenced regarding spiritual issues. In addition, his edited works have sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
His most recent collaborative work, Israel under Fire (September 2009), features a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Dr. Tim LaHaye and has spurred an exclusive documentary including interview footage with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Burroughs lives and works as a writer at a nonprofit in Tennessee with his wife Deborah and three children.
