Alfred Ambs (born
23 January 1923 inGladbeck ) was a former GermanLuftwaffe fighter ace duringWorld War II . Ambs is credited with seven aerial victories achieved in about 75 combat missions on theMesserschmitt Me 262 jet fighter. 10 July 1942 , and served in various positions including Flg.Rgt. 53, Luftkriegsschule 3, Flugzeugführerschule C14 (Prague ), Flugzeugführerschule B33 (Prague-Rusin), and Zerstörergeschwader 101. Ambs was qualified on the Me 262 inLechfeld and was subsequently posted toJG 7 . He flew his last mission on the Me 262 on23 March 1945 .References
