Adam John Hollioake (born 5 September 1971 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is a cricketing all-rounder.Fact|date=July 2008

Moving to England with his family in 1983, he attended Millfield School and played first-class cricket for Surrey County Cricket Club between 1993 and 2004. He captained Surrey from 1997 until 2003, and led them to victory in the County Championship in 1999, 2000 and 2002.

Hollioake had a relatively undistinguished Test match career, playing in four matches for England at the end of 1997 and the beginning of 1998. He achieved greater success in One Day Internationals, playing in 35 matches from 1996 to 1999, taking over the captaincy of the ODI side for 14 matches while Michael Atherton remained Test captain.

Hollioake's international career might well have resumed in 2003 had his brother, and Surrey and England team-mate, Ben not been killed in a car crash in 2002. At Ben's funeral, Adam stated that in a tribute to his brother and to Ben's girlfriend, Janaya Scholten, who was seriously injured in the crash, Adam and his wife (who was seven months' pregnant at the time of Ben's death) planned to name their daughter Benaya, a combination of Ben and Janaya's names. Although Adam returned to Surrey afterwards, and even resumed his captaincy of the side, being named as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2003, inevitably his priorities had been changed irrevocably by the tragedy and he retired after an injury-affected 2004 season.

He came out of retirement to play in a World XI against an Asian XI in a Twenty20 charity match in aid of the 2004 Asian tsunami, played at The Oval on 20 June 2005. On 16 June 2007 Hollioake admitted on an edition of "Cricket AM" that he was seriously thinking about coming out of retirement. Later on in the same show James Benning accidentally let out that it would not be for his former club Surrey. On 19 June Hollioake was signed by Essex to play in the Twenty20 Cup after being recommended by former England Captain Graham Gooch.
