Lilia Luciano was born in San Juan,
Puerto Rico . Lilia Luciano currently co-hosts and reports for Escandalo TV on Telefutura Network. Her career has quickly emerged since she was given the opportunity to fill in for the entertainment reporter on En Vivo y Directo, a news magazine show on Telefutura.Growing up as a child actress and model Lilia, spent most of her childhood and adolescence between television sets, photo shoots auditions and school. Although she starred on soap operas, TV shows, commercials and worked as a professional model in the island, she dreamt of becoming a plastic surgeon.
After graduating from high school in San Juan Puerto Rico, where she also played soccer, surfed, and lead various student organizations, Lilia went off to study pre med at Tufts University near Boston. There she hosted the only TV show that the University station was producing at the time, which was a weekly dating game show and starred in several independent student films. After one year in Boston the moved to Miami where she completed a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Economics from the University of Miami. There she worked as a reporter for an entertainment show in English and hosted the only Spanish-language show that UMTV produced.
During her years at UM she completed an Internship program with Telemundo Internacional where she launched finance and economics segment, which she wrote, produced, reported and hosted when given the opportunity to appear on camera.
In 2005 Telefutura Network launched "En Vivo y Directo," a national news-magazine show where Lilia came in as an administrative assistant and moved her way up to the Entertainment Reporter and Co-host position. Once the show was cancelled she was hired as a reported for Telefutura's "Escandalo TV," a three-hour entertainment show. She hosted "Cine de las Estrellas," a special presentation during Telefutura movie features.
Lilia is currently co-hosting Escandalo TV as well as conducting interviews and reporting for the show outside of the studio. She is the sole host of "Famosos," a monthly series that Telefutura has been producing for over a year, which airs prime time and features countdowns of events, comic situations, and scandals that celebrities undergo while in the limelight.
During the fourth edition of Objetivo Fama, the equivalent to American Idol in Spanish, Lilia hosted Objetivo Fama Extra, a weekly one hour show which featured the highlights of everything that occurred throughout the competition. She also traveled to San Juan, to host the Red Carpet and Post-show of the Objetivo Fama season Finale on 2006 and 2007.
She stands in for Lili Estefan on several occasions in her Univision show, "El Gordo y la Flaca," as well as for Roxana Garcia in "Tardes Calientes," the highest ranked afternoon radio show in Miami on Univision Radio's Amor 107.5
During every awards show since she joined Telefutura, she has traveled to all of the Major Univision Awards Shows to give special coverage, such as the Latin Grammys, Premio lo Nuestro, and Premios Juventud. She joined Univision's special presentations for each of the shows that they produced around the Premios Juventud, such as the Pre-show, the red Carpet and the Post Show.
