Dr. Janet Zand, OMD, L.Ac. is credentialed as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, naturopath, herbologist, and is also a certified acupuncturist. Zand has published several books: "A Parent's Guide to Medical Emergencies", "Smart Medicine", and "Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child" [http://books.google.com/books?id=DK0ft9VYUJYC&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_summary_r&cad=0#PPP1,M1] and has a line of herbal supplements. From 1978 to 1998, she was part of a private practice in Santa Monica, California specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine and nutrition. She has studied homeopathy, medicine, nutrition, and acupuncture throughout the U.S. and Asia. From 1978-2002 Dr. Zand was the Chairman of the Board, co-founder, and formulator for Zand Herbal Formulas. This company was one of the first companies in the United States to popularize both Western and Asian herbs.

After seeing countless patients with problematic skin conditions who were aggravated by the numerous skin care products currently in the market that were ineffective, Zand committed herself to developing a skin therapy system that works with the skin's delicate natural balance while treating the skin's needs at the same time. She lectures throughout the country to physicians, acupuncturists, naturopaths, chiropractors, nurses and other health-care professionals on natural medicine including Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition and homeopathy.
