Daud Khel

Daud Khel (Pashto: داود خیل ) is a major Saraki/Hindko City of Mianwali District/Punjab/Pakistan.

a. Daud Khel is a town of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan[1]. The town is located at 32°52'60N 71°34'0E at an altitude of 207 meters and is part of Mianwali Tehsil. It is administratively subdivided into two Union councils, one for the urban area and another for the rural area. The town is bounded by KalaBagh in the North, Mianwali in the South, Kamar mushani in the East and Masan in the West.

b. The town's population is approximately 1 lac. Mother tongue is saraki. Majority of the population is NIAZI belong to PATHAN clan, who got settled in the area after their invasion in the area from Gazni Afghanistan during ancient era.

c. Presently the area is under developing phase. Town is blessed with numerous facilities at the moment e.g, Sui Gas, Ptcl Exchange, Mobile phone communication, railway link with Rawalpindi, Lahore and Multan, Rd link with Mianwali Esa khel and Mianwali Kohat rd. Air link is available due to Airport location at the distance of 30 km in Mianwali city. Moreover area is enriched with minerals, It is also enjoying the status of an industrial Zone (Iskander abad coloney) in the dist due to different factories, i.e, Maple leaf Cement factory, Pak American fertilizer factory, Caustic soda manufacturing factory, Dying factory also situated in ISkander abad, Daud Khel.

d. Unfortunately due to lack of awareness, employment opportunities and absence of basic education system, most of the young generation are prone to narcotics. Being major town adjacent to KPK Province it facilitates Smugglers of narco and weapon suppliers to harbor/supply their black material to further places after kamar mushani teh Esa Khel.
