B.S. inElectrical Engineering fromWashington University inSt. Louis, Missouri in1941 and hisM.S. in Electrical Engineering from theUniversity of California, Los Angeles in1951 .During his lifetime, he worked as an engineer at several companies, including
General Electric ,Rockwell International , andFord Aeronautic Company .He published a book "Control System Dynamics" with McGraw-Hill in 1954.
He has 4 children. One of his children, Gregory Walter Evans, wrote an article about his father in the December 2004 issue of the IEEE Control Magazine.
