Popular Democratic Action ( _es. Acción Democrática Popular) was a political party in Costa Rica, founded in 1962 by leftwing members of the National Liberation Party. Prominent founders were Enrique Obregón Valverde, Marcial Aguiluz Orellana and Julio Sunol. The party received some electoral support from the then illegal communist party. Sunol was, however, the only ADP candidate elected. In the presidential election the party got less than 1% of the votes. Sunol later left the party.[Rouquié, Alain/Arnaud, Hélène.
