The Film & TV Music Awards are presented by members of the Film & TV Music Academy, an organization that was established in 2007 and is open to working professionals and students preparing for a career in the industry. They include a wide range of categories representing the use of music in film and television productions. The eligibility period runs from September 1 to August 31 the following year.
