Plot

Two men crash-land in the New Mexico Desert. One of them finds that the propeller seemed to have melted. Before they can do anything, they are ambushed by a giant scorpion.

Meanwhile, Elsie and Mendel are on vacation in a resort in New Mexico while Godzilla starts swimming somewhere, and the H.E.A.T. team follow him, they end up in Galveston Bay, Texas, but Godzilla seems to keep moving. At the resort, Mendel and Elsie are called to New Mexico, where Godzilla currently is. In New Mexico, Randy learns from an old Navajo man that a beast called Tseh-eh-go is living there, he later gets stung by a normal scorpion and experiences a fever dream, where he sees strange visions of a plane crashing down, a giant skull faced scorpion, eagle shaped badges and two men getting attacked by scorpions. Randy tries to convince the other H.E.A.T. members that something strange is going on, but they all assume he is delirious. Major Hicks comes to find Godzilla, but neither him or the team know where he has been. Hicks and the H.E.A.T. team then meet William Tarrington, a military man who is Hicks' old friend.

Randy notices that Tarrington has the same badge he saw in his dream and starts asking him questions about the two men, but Tarrington just ignores him. The team make their way to a restricted area, where they find Tseh-eh-go, the giant scorpion. They hide behind a steel wall,only for it to be melted by the scorpion's acidic venom. They attempt to use N.I.G.E.L. to lure it away, but the robot is simply tossed away. Godzilla suddenly appears and attacks the massive scorpion, only to be shot down by the military and the H.E.A.T. team is arrested for trespassing. The team try to use N.I.G.E.L. to escape from the cell, but the cell was designed to block all radio signals, meanwhile Tarrington reveals to Hicks that the giant scorpion was genetically engineered as an army weapon, he also reveals that Tseh-eh-go was just "wave one" and introduces him to wave two, a colony of scorpions which are smaller but just as deadly.

Tarrington and his men attempt to kill the scorpion with missiles and tanks, but it simply shrugs off the attack. Luckily for them, Godzilla returns to attack it, but the scorpion uses it's acid to weaken Godzilla's hide, making him more vulnerable. Tseh-eh-go then proceeds to savagely attack him. During the attack, a tank is tossed onto the building which contains the wave two mutations, and the scorpions escape. The scorpions find the H.E.A.T. team's prison cell and damage the walls, meaning that Mendel can now control N.I.G.E.L. He programs it to emit scorpion pheromones to distract the scorpions while the team escapes. The team discovers that the local soil contains alkalis which can drain toxins when wet and they break down a water tower, the mud heals Godzilla.

The wave two scorpions are hungry and start attacking N.I.G.E.L., only to discover he is inorganic. Nick has an idea and removes N.I.G.E.L.'s pheromone emitter and leaves it under Tseh-eh-go. The scorpions follow the phermone trail and feed on Tseh-eh-go. When Hicks and the team leave, Tarrington receives a phone call and asks that wave three be released.
