During Camp's murder trial the defense claimed Camp had acted in defense of a 3rd Party. The jury found Camp guilty ofvoluntary manslaughter and sentenced him to ten years probation. The killing attracted significant media attention and raised questions about the tolerance of Amarillo. In June 2001 Camp was busted for underage drinking and was arrested for being a minor in the possession of alcohol after someone called the police on him. The charges are part of a long list of probation violations. In September that year, Camp received an eight year prison sentence for violating his parole terms. In 2006 he was paroled under supervision because his sentence doesn't expire until 2009. cite news | url=http://www.chron.com/CDA/archives/archive.mpl?id=2001_3332563 | title= Probation violator gets 8-year term | publisher=Houston Chronicle | date=08 September 2001 | accessdate=2008-04-25]References
