David Lyons (born 16 April 1976) is an Australian actor. He is best known for his role on the Australian drama series Sea Patrol, in which he played the Leading Seaman Josh Holiday.

Early life and education

Lyons was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Lyons graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 2004.

Career

Lyons held a short recurring guest role on Blue Heelers as well as a guest role on Neighbours.

On 10 April 2008, Lyons begun a regular role as Dr. Simon Brenner in the Emmy Award-winning drama ER, from Season 14 until the show ended with its 15th season on 2 April 2009.

In 2010, he appeared in Eat Pray Love alongside Julia Roberts.^[1]

Lyons also starred in the made-for-television movie A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne, and in NBC's The Cape.^[2]
