Early life and education
Lyons was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Lyons graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 2004.
Career
Lyons held a short recurring guest role on Blue Heelers as well as a guest role on Neighbours.
On 10 April 2008, Lyons begun a regular role as Dr. Simon Brenner in the Emmy Award-winning drama ER, from Season 14 until the show ended with its 15th season on 2 April 2009.
In 2010, he appeared in Eat Pray Love alongside Julia Roberts.[1]
Lyons also starred in the made-for-television movie A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne, and in NBC's The Cape.[2]
