cities =Lake 13 is a private
lake located in Surrey Township,Clare County ,Michigan . The lake spans about 95 acres (384,000 m²), and reaches a maximum depth of about 30 feet (10 m).The lake serves many recreational purposes, such as watersports and fishing. In most fishing handbooks, the primary fish is listed as
bullhead , butlargemouth bass andnorthern pike can also be caught in the lake. In 2002walleye were planted in the lake, although there have been no reports of consistency in catching them. Due to lack of food supply, the Lake 13 Members Association is considering lowering the limit on northern pike from the current standard of 24 inches (609 mm) to unlimited length. The pike are numerous in number, but few are able to reach the minimum length, due to having to compete with other predator fish such as bass and walleye.Origin
Lake 13 is an
artificial lake , dug on the creekbed ofRunyan Creek , which flows into the lake and is the primary water supply. The water depth varies, anywhere from 2 feet (0.6 m) in some areas, to a maximum of 30 feet (10 m). Some people believe the lake actually reached 40 feet (12 m) in depth, but muck and sand have filled in the holes.External links
