Anthony John "Tony" Sheridan OAM was Wyong Shire president from 1983 to 1985, again from 1990 to 1992, and its mayor from 1993 to 1995.
He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1999, and the Centenary Medal in 2001.
