Anand Chandrasekher

Anand Chandrasekher (born 1963, Madras, India) is currently Senior Vice President , Intel Corporation, and General Manager of the Ultra Mobility Group. He started his career at Intel in 1988 after graduating from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Engineering. He received his MBA from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is an elected member of the Cornell University Council. His interests include cricket, traveling, and the possibilities technology can bring.

His current responsibilities include leading the creation of the new market segment for Mobile Internet Devices. MIDs are devices, which deliver the “Best Internet Experience in Your Pocket.” Intel’s newly announced technologies, the Intel^® Atom^™ Processor and Intel^® Centrino^® Atom^™ Processor Technology, enable PC-like capabilities, long battery life and a full internet experience into smaller form factor devices that can fit into your pocket.

Prior to his current role he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Intel Sales and Marketing Group; Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Platforms Group, which delivered Intel^® Centrino^™ Mobile Technology to the market, and from 1995 to 1997 he served as technical assistant to Craig Barrett, current Intel Chairman of the Board.
