Thomas Schoos (born
October 29 ,1967 ) is a German-born, Americaninterior designer . Born and raised in Neuerburg, Germany, Schoos currently resides in West Hollywood, California near his eponymous design firm and studio, Thomas Schoos Design. The Thomas Schoos Design lifestyle brand was founded in 1996.Schoos’ work has been featured in numerous publications including "The New York Times", "Los Angeles Times", "Architectural Digest", "People", "Food & Wine", "GQ", "Los Angeles" and "Angeleno" magazines, "Vogue" and "InStyle".
Projects
Thomas Schoos-designed restaurants include Citizen Smith, Empress on Sunset, Koi Restaurant, O-Bar, Table 8, and Wilshire in Los Angeles, The Penthouse at The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif., TAO Asian Bistro in New York, and TAO Restaurant and Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Thomas Schoos-designed hotels include The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. and Personality Hotel Group’s Hotel Vertigo and Hotel Frank (formerly York and Maxwell hotels, respectively) in San Francisco.
Thomas Schoos-designed residences include the homes of celebrities Ashlee Simpson, Courtney Cox-Arquette, Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Tommy Mottola, and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Other Thomas Schoos-designed projects include Aveda Salon (select salons nationwide) and TAO Beach and LAX at the Luxor in Las Vegas, as well as the Nature Line Collection of Arzu Rugs’ “Hope by Design” couture rug collection.
