Georgios Tsaoussis

Georgios Tsaoussis is a Greek immigrant entrepreneur who established, along with the Scalchunes brothers, Scales Air Compressor (now Scales Industrial Technologies). Mr. Tsaoussis was one of the founders of the Leadership 100 of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, a significant philanthropic organization of the Greek Church.

Georgios Tsaoussis was born September 1 1929 in Constantinople, Turkey of ethnic Greek parents Elizabeth and Photios. He was educated in Athens, Greece and upon graduating high school entered Greece's Anapolis, receiving degrees in civil and mechanical engineering. Upon graduation he entered the Royal Greek Navy as an officer. He remains the youngest First Engineer to have served the King of Greece on the King's ship. After serving his tenure he joined the Merchant Marines.

In 1956 he married Maria Radiotis and moved to New York, USA.
