Solle grew up in
Sanford, North Carolina , playing on the Fayetteville Force youth club, with whom he won three consecutive North Carolina state championships (1999, 2000 and 2001). He also attended Lee County High School inSanford, North Carolina , where he was selected as a 2003Parade Magazine High School All American. Following his graduation from high school in 2003, Solle enteredWake Forest University . He played for theWake Forest Demon Deacons men’s soccer team from 2003 to 2006. He finished second on the Wake Forest career assist list with twenty-seven in fifty games.Professional
Solle played the 2005 season with the
Raleigh CASL Elite of thePremier Development League . TheNew England Revolution ofMajor League Soccer selected Solle in the second round (25th overall) of the2007 MLS SuperDraft . Solle never entered a game with the first team and was released by the Revolution on August 31, 2007. In the spring of 2008, he signed with theCarolina RailHawks of theUSL First Division . He gained his first game and his first start in the first RailHawks game of the 2008 season, a 1-1 tie with theAtlanta Silverbacks .
