Sivarama Swami was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1949.Fact|date=February 2008

As an ISKCON Leader

He became an initiated disciple of Srila Prabhupada in 1973 and accepted the renounced order of life, sannyasa in 1979. He joined the Governing Body Commission in 1986.Fact|date=February 2008
