Håkan Hagegård (born
November 25 ,1945 ,Karlstad, Sweden ) is a Swedishopera ticbaritone .He studied at the Royal College of Music in
Stockholm and has performed on stages across the world, includingCarnegie Hall , the LondonRoyal Opera House ,La Scala , theMetropolitan Opera , theSydney Opera House , theDeutsche Oper Berlin , theVienna State Opera ("Così fan tutte " conducted byNikolaus Harnoncourt ), and theRoyal Swedish Opera in Stockholm. He played the role of Papageno inIngmar Bergman 's acclaimed film version of Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" ("Trollflöjten", 1975). He sang thebaritone solos in choral conductor Robert Shaw's acclaimed and highly popular 1980 recording of "Carmina Burana", with theAtlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.In 1985, he was appointed vocalist to KingCarl XVI Gustaf of Sweden . He is currently Senior Lecturer in Music at theIndiana University Bloomington School of Music. Hagegard also holds a Professorship in Vocal Studies at theNorwegian Academy of Music inOslo ,Norway .He has premiered notable
