At approximately 6:25 a.m. on
October 26 ,2007 ,Philippine Airlines Flight 475 overshot the runway while landing at Butuan Airport. Most injuries where sustained during the emergency evacuation. Initial reports indicated that between 19 and 34 people where injured during the incident. According to eye-witness reports the airliner landed past the initial touchdown zone of the runway, which left inadequate distance for the airliner to slow down, causing the airliner to run off the runway.References
