*"Voodoo Highway" includes a cover version of
James Taylor 's "Fire and Rain ". Badlands would often perform soundchecks before a show using the song "Fire and Water," by Paul Rodgers' old band, Free. Once, Gillen misspoke during the soundcheck and asked for "Fire and Rain" instead. The band played Taylor's composition anyway, and Gillen sounded so good that they decided to record it.*American Idol finalist Bo Bice sang "In a Dream" during competition in the 2005 season.
