David Bennett (announcer)

David Bennett is a former television continuity announcer, best known for his work at Grampian Television.

Alongside his work in Aberdeen (which also included reading local news bulletins North News and North Headlines), Bennett freelanced at other ITV stations including Anglia, HTV and ATV.

At Grampian, he became well known for his 'ginger peachy goodnight' sign-offs at closedown. He left Grampian in 1983 and is now a correspondent to various letter pages in local newspapers.^[1]

Bennett has also worked as a presenter and vice-president of Grampian Hospital Radio in Aberdeen.^[2]
