Carlos began his Martial Arts training in the summer or 1998. He was flipping through channels on T.V. when a commercial caught his attention. He picked up the phone just like the commercial said to do and made an appointment for his first introductory class. Three days later, he signed up for a 3 month program. 10 days later, he would make the biggest commitment of his life. He enrolled in the Instructor Training Program *(now known as the Leadership Program). It was a seven year commitment to take him from his white belt to the rank of Instructor. Carlos achieved the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt in August of 1999. Through an accelerated training regiment he was able to attain his black belt 2 years ahead of schedule. He very quickly began working with Victory Martial Arts [http://www.victoryma.com link title] *(formerly known as Von Schmeling Martial Arts) as a Program Director and Assistant Instructor beginning his path to Chief Instructor. Carlos' life was changed and he was beginning to change the lives of others. One black belt at a time as the saying goes in the Martial Arts community.
