History

Computhink was established in 1994 in Chicago, IL. Since that time, Computhink has built a comprehensive network of domestic and international Computhink Resellers covering 34 countries on 6 continents.[2]

Originally, they offered their document management solution under the name "The Paperless Office"[3] on a 32-bit SQL database. Now known as ViewWise, the software enables users to create an electronic filing system composed of cabinets, drawers, and folders, using index keys to manage and search a multitude of documents.[4] At the time, the concept of an out-of-the-box document management solution for $2,500[3] was unheard of, enabling "The Paperless Office", and eventually, ViewWise, to gain traction as an enterprise content management solution affordable to the small-to-mid size business.

ViewWise fully enables users to reduce paper use and move to an electronic document management solution.[5] A paperless office is a more efficient, cost-saving, compliant organizational strategy.[5]

Document Management Features

ViewWise supplies a variety of of features, such as document imaging and scanning, integrated security, access control, auditing, retention, and email archiving.[5] ViewWise enables users to classify and search through volumes of content in seconds, all while reducing paper waste.[5]
