Gary Forbach received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Denver in 1969 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. Forbach then enrolled atOklahoma State University where he pursued his Master's in Experimental Psychology from 1969-1972. In 1973 Forbach was awarded a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology, also from OSU.Professional Work
Forbach has served as a professor at the University of Washburn in
Topeka, Kansas since August, 1973. From August 1973-June 2000 he served various capacities within the Department of Psychology. Forbach gradually reduced his workload in the department and taught his most recent course in 2002. From January 2000-present (April, 2008), Forbach has served as the founding director of Washburn's Institute for the Study and Practice of Leadership. This position has required several duties which include administrative duties, overseeing Rotary District 5710's annualRYLA camp, teaching/co-teaching leadership courses, and supervising senior internships.Community Volunteer Leadership Positions
